Sari-sari stores are small retail outlets where you can find all kinds of things. You could call it a tiny convenience store and it's basically a staple in every Filipino neighborhood!
Here's a series of illustrations based around Aling Belay's sari-sari store and some lovely people (animals?) in her community! I wanted to go with a charming, ephemera-feel for the whole set to convey a sense of childhood nostalgia. I hope you like them!
